An opinion that we at Super Fun Trampolines shares! As the title states …
Want to live longer? Build Walking into Your Routine

“It seems almost absurdly simple, but walking might just save the world, as well as make us healthier, happier and allow us to live longer.”
Doesn’t it sometimes seem true that the simplest routines to follow are the hardest things to do? What could be easier than going for a walk?
The writer goes on to say:
“Physical inactivity is the fourth leading cause of death globally, ahead of obesity, high cholesterol, unsafe sex, and alcohol abuse. More people die from physical inactivity alone than from malaria or AIDS. And many other non-communicable killers — obesity, heart disease, Type 2 diabetes and many forms of cancer — are directly liked to inactivity.”
Those are some pretty staggering statistics!
Here are some more interesting points the write makes:
“Only two generations ago, Bird says, it wasn’t unusual for children to walk up to 10 kilometres in a day to school or play in fields or woods. Now, many walk less than a kilometre a day. They’re driven to schools that are often built in locations that are difficult to walk to and encouraged to play inside because parents no longer consider streets and neighbourhoods safe for them to play in.”

Till next time …
